Upcoming Class Start Date: To Be Announced

  • Lucy Corr’s CNA Training Program is a three-week Virginia Board of Nursing approved program that exceeds the required 80 hours of lectures/skills and 40 hours of clinical experience. Through lecture, video, role-playing, and hands-on skills laboratory and clinical practice, you will learn procedural skills such as bathing, dressing, positioning, and vital signs. You will also learn key communication techniques to provide compassionate care for the elderly and others in need of personal care. Upon successful completion of the CNA Training Program, a certificate will be provided within fourteen (14) business days.
  • Lucy Corr’s CNA Training Program costs are covered by scholarships and grants for eligible candidates (including all books and classroom supplies, a current PPD (TB) Test or Chest X-Ray as required, drug screening, and Criminal Background Check from the Virginia State Police). 
  • Lucy Corr’s CNA Training Program proudly features: Board-Certified Course Instructors, a dedicated on-site Classroom setting and Skills lab. 
  • Lucy Corr proudly offers an industry-competitive pay scale that increases with employees’ advancement from Nurse Aide Trainees to Certified Nurse Aides!
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to adhere to the attendance standards /training completion hours required of the Nurse Aide Training Program
  • Caring demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm; at Lucy Corr – 6800 Lucy Corr Boulevard, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
  • The Nurse Aide Program requires the following dress code: black scrubs, black socks, and black shoes (leak-proof vinyl or leather with closed-top, toe and back).

CNA Training Program Application

The Nurse Aide class includes all books and classroom supplies, a current PPD (TB) Test or Chest X-Ray as required, drug screening, and a current Criminal Background Check from the Virginia State Police. Upon completion of the class, graduates names will be submitted to Pearson VUE per the Virginia Board of Nursing. Each graduate will then receive an email giving them access to schedules for the state exam.
