COVID-19 UPDATE FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2024

Currently there are no cases of COVID in the Health Care Center. We are also COVID-free in Independent Living as of the date on this memo. We do have several participants in our Adult Day Center who are isolating at home due to recent COVID diagnosis. We also have seven AL residents who tested positive for COVID who are isolating in their apartments. We only have one AL staff member who tested positive and is isolating at home. Luckily, they are all doing well with minimal symptoms.

Per CMS guidelines, please be advised of the following:
Visitors – if you don’t feel well or have respiratory symptoms, please delay visiting your loved one and if you must visit, please wear a mask. Should we have an outbreak of any infection, we will post that information here and, on our website, along with any operational changes that affect your visit or the resident’s activities.

When visiting your loved one, please try to avoid close contact with other residents to limit their exposure (which reduces risk of airborne infections). You are encouraged to stay up to date with your vaccinations and if you wish to have your loved one vaccinated, please let us know and we will work with you and your resident’s MD to make that happen.

Staff please be aware that if you need to be tested for COVID before your shift, please contact your supervisor so we can arrange the test. All staff must wear a surgical mask when they are in resident care areas on the Bermuda Unit in the Health Care Center since we hold new admits there for COVID testing. Staff on other units in the Health Care Center are not required to wear a mask but are welcome to do so if they choose. New masks for staff are available at the employee entrance at all times.

Please select from the choices below to learn the latest protocols on what to expect when you wish to visit someone on the Lucy Corr Campus.

Visitors are welcome without restriction and are welcome to dine in the Bistro as guest of our Independent Living residents.

Visitors are welcome and may enter and exit using the Assisted Living lobby. Visitors will no longer be screened for COVID, however, all visitors will be required to check-in using the AccuCheck machine and wear their visitors badge. Visitors can log out as they exit the lobby and dispose of their visitor’s badge. All visitors are asked to wear our free surgical mask while in common areas or when around other residents. If you are not feeling well, please delay your visit, and make sure you wear a mask if you must visit.

Visitors to the Health Care Center will enter thru the lobby and register using the AccuCheck machine, which will issue a visitor badge, and requires a photo-ID to check in. We are no longer screening visitors for fever or COVID, but all visitors will be issued a free surgical mask to wear during their visit. After visiting, exit thru the lobby and log out of the AccuCheck machine and dispose of the temporary badge and mask. If you do not feel well, please delay your visit, or consider scheduling a virtual visit.

We are currently offering Virtual Visits for our Health Care Residents. These are highly encouraged for families who are out of town, those who are unable to come into the building due to personal health issues, or anyone feeling under the weather.
